About Us

As a young child growing up in Indiana, Andrew was fascinated with the clay he would dig up from the backyard and form into small pinch pots.  He would fire them at the family campfires and eventually acquired a potter’s wheel, a used electric kiln, and a quarter ton of stoneware clay.  With some ideas from books and a little help from Youtube, Andrew began his journey into ceramics at age 12. Since then, he has experimented with wood ash glazing and pit firing, as well as developing his work with various forms.  Last August 2021, at age 19, Andrew participated in and the Les Cheneaux Wooden Boat Show, and he is currently a mechanical engineering student.
